La Bottega is based on the Italian way of life with a bit of South African flavour thrown in for good measure. Combined with excellent service and fantastic food, we offer more than a good beer and great atmosphere.

OwnerAlistair, owner, 9 years. Having worked in the hospitality industry for 21 years, I finally followed my dream to open a space that I enjoy hanging out in. Inspired by travel and tasting dishes from all round the world I have balanced what I feel works best for the space. I believe in a family-type working environment and service is at the forefront of our values. I look forward to welcoming you into my space.
The BossJo-Ann, 9 years, The Boss, she has run every element of this business with grace over the entire existence of La Bottega and continues to do so with grace and 100% professionalism. The team in the kitchen has been mentored by her over the years and her dedication to perfection shows in every element of her work. We salute you!
Coffee GeniusEsther, 5 years, our in-house genius when it comes to coffee, smoothies, milkshakes and freshly squeezed juices. She the powerhouse behind the boys and runs the show behind her bar.
Queen of the KitchenZanele, 9 years, our absolute gem has been making the kitchen hers over the years and runs it as if it was her own. Talented in every field of cooking and is a dream to have her as part of the team.
Jack-of-all-TradesSpencer, 6 years, this grumpy old fart has his own following and has a memory second to none. He runs the back of house during his down time and can be seen running a full restaurant without breaking a sweat all by himself. His dedication and passion for the hospitality industry is something to be admired and we are honoured to have him on our team.
Miss CongenialityNontyatyambo, 2 years, the biggest smile in the house, she started off working in the scullery and is slowly learning her way around the kitchen. We hope that one day she will join the ranks of the chefs. One of the hardest working ladies in the kitchen.
Dish-decadencePumza, 3 years, a success story to say the least, after an horrific accident, Pumza came and worked her way up the ladder and is now prepping dishes and on the front line. Her dedication to her work can be seen by just watching how much care goes into every dish.
Beast of the BarPatrick, 1 year, this beast joined us a year ago has been a force to be reckoned with. Paddy runs the bar and floor side of things and is a complete gentle giant. He is definitely the face that everyone is drawn towards and his popularity around the bar area keeps the punters coming back. He has gone from strength to strength and has taken his role up at La Bottega with sheer force. Onward and upward my friend. We are honoured to have him on the team and hoping for many more years of his time.
